Ahmed El Houssieny
Over 25 years of leadership across banking, private equity, and investment sectors, building teams and scaling businesses across Africa and the Middle East. Former Managing Director at Citadel Capital, where he helped drive $8Bn in investments and position the firm as a buyout leader. Prior to that, he was Director of Investment Banking at Barclays and Vice President at Citigroup for North West Africa. Board member of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt, Sudanese Egyptian Bank, Qalaa Capital, and Egyptian Refining Company. Recognized on Financial News’ 2010 “Rising Stars 100” for the EMEA private equity sector. Ahmed holds a BA from the American University in Cairo and an MBA with distinction from Maastricht School of Management.
